<p>As the owner of a popular vertical jump training blog, I ask myself this question all the time.</p>
<p>Personally, I have an average wingspan and a very high vertical jump.</p>
<p>However, having played basketball up to the collegiate level, I wish that I could trade some of my vertical jump for some more wingspan.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Because if you have a high vertical jump and you get injured or tired, you lose your edge.</p>
<p>On the other hand, if you have a larger wingspan, you can still maintain an edge even though you are tired or injured, because your wingspan doesn&#8217;t take any effort to maintain.</p>
<p>Well, that&#8217;s just my opinion.</p>
